The land of Morocco is barely a few miles away from Europe, across the limited straits of Gibraltar, but they are nothing like each other in both its culture and experience. Due partly to its geographical location, Morocco is positioned at the decisive point where the East encounters the West, Africa comes together with Europe, and the Mediterranean unites with the Atlantic.
Located at the top northwest corner of Africa and sharing two oceans, the country’s focal interest for western tourists has always been the hot temperatures; but also the superiority of its crafts and its vibrant nature, also draws in tourists. Furthermore, in the last 10 years, travellers are encountering other unknown interests, mostly in the northern and central parts of Morocco for example in the Rif and High Atlas Mountains. Here it is becoming increasingly popular to take part in a skiing holiday! Contrastingly down south, we still find lots of sightseers are drawn to delve into the gleaming sands of the Western Sahara, on camelback, horseback or 4X4.
If you wish to go to Morocco for the hot climate, walk through the mountains or the blistering desert sands, you will find that you are charmed by the unchanging Medieval medinas of the vibrant cities, this is particularly Fez and Marrakech, where the souks bring in tourists into a captivating unfamiliar world. your overall recall will be one of sweetened mint tea, brightly coloured material, and the smell of the tanners’ yards pervading the air.
Although most of its towns are contemporary and modern, Morocco has a large number of ancient sites and superb historical buildings, echoing a chaotic history form by its strategically placed location. Morocco and her interesting past, coupled with a prosperous present, makes Morocco a exciting tour of surprises and attraction for thousands of western tourists throughout the year.
